"Origin Energy — Turning Energy Opportunities into Community Assets"

Suggested visual — replace with your image
- Community energy solutions partner for Indigenous communities across Canada
- We build energy systems, governance structures, and local capacity
- Not a consultant. Not a vendor. A long-term trusted partner.
- Goal: move communities from energy dependence to genuine energy sovereignty
SPEAKING NOTES
Good [morning/afternoon]. I'm [Name] from Origin Energy. We work alongside Indigenous communities to build the conditions for energy sovereignty — not just the infrastructure, but the relationships, governance, workforce, and long-term stewardship that make it stick. We are not a consulting firm and we are not a technology vendor. We are a trusted partner who stays at the table from first conversation through to 20 years of community benefit. One phrase captures it: Turning Energy Opportunities into Community Assets.
The Team

"Indigenous leadership, clean energy expertise, and skin in the game"
- [Your Name] — [Role] — [Brief: background, relationships, experience]
- [Team Member 2] — [Role] — [Brief credentials]
- Advisory: Indigenous leadership, finance, engineering, community engagement
- Growing team — actively seeking Indigenous leadership, finance, and engineering talent
SPEAKING NOTES
Our team brings together Indigenous leadership, clean energy expertise, and deep community relationships. [Speak to your own background — 2–3 sentences. Be personal. Why does this work matter to you?] Everyone at this table has skin in the game. We don't parachute in. We build relationships first and projects second. We're also growing — if you know someone who should be at this table, please connect them with us.
What We Do
SLIDE CONTENT
"Three service tracks. One goal: community ownership."
- 01 — Community Energy Planning: baselines, forecasting, transition pathways
- 02 — Project Development: funding strategy, feasibility, implementation
- 03 — Capacity Building: workforce training, youth programs, energy literacy
SPEAKING NOTES
Three core services — all oriented toward the same outcome: a community that owns its energy future. Community Energy Planning is where we start. Before any project, a community needs to understand where it stands. We do that work with them. Project Development is the heavy lifting — funding, partners, feasibility. We carry that so communities can make informed decisions without outside pressure. Capacity Building is what makes it last. The goal isn't a commissioned project. It's what that community looks like in 20 years — the workforce it's built, the decisions it controls, the costs it no longer pays.
Geothermal — The Technology

"Partnership with Rodatherm Energy Corporation — Waterless Geothermal System (WGS)"
- Closed-loop pressurized heat recovery system in deep porous rock
- No freshwater required — designed for remote and northern conditions
- Baseload + district heat from a single installation
- LCOE $50–75/MWh | OPEX $3/MWh | 50+ year operating life
- Rodatherm: $38M Series A (Aug 2025), 100 MW Utah demo — results Q4 2026
- Investors: TDK Ventures, Toyota Ventures, Grantham Foundation + more
SPEAKING NOTES
Let me tell you about our technology partner — Rodatherm Energy Corporation — and why we chose them. Diesel dependency is the single biggest energy problem in remote Indigenous communities. It's expensive, it's unreliable, and it's extractive. Geothermal changes that entirely. Rodatherm's Waterless Geothermal System is different from conventional geothermal. It's a closed loop — no freshwater, small footprint, works in deep porous rock. It produces baseload power 24/7 — not weather-dependent like solar or wind. And it can also produce district heat from the same installation. The numbers: LCOE of $50–75/MWh, operating costs of just $3/MWh, and a 50+ year operating life. That's energy infrastructure built for generations. Rodatherm closed a $38M Series A in 2025 — largest geothermal founding raise to date — and their Utah demo results come in Q4 this year. The investor list — TDK, Toyota Ventures, Grantham Foundation — speaks to the credibility of the technology.

SPEAKING NOTES
So what does this partnership mean in practice? Origin brings the community side — the relationships, the governance design, the funding navigation, the capacity building. Rodatherm brings the technology, the drilling expertise, and the commercial credibility. Together, we offer Indigenous communities a complete, bankable pathway from first conversation to community-owned clean energy infrastructure. This is one of the most important opportunities in Canadian energy right now. And we'd like to talk to you about what it could mean for your community or organization. [Pause.
